ANNOUNCING THE 2ND RUNNERUP OF C.E.O 2.0 – TEAM ZYNDICATE

With great admiration, we proudly announce the remarkable achievement of the winners from the Department of Industrial Management who secured the 2nd runner-up title at C.E.O 2.0, organized by AIESEC in University of Kelaniya. Rajitha Madushan, Dilshan Hettiarachchi, Pavith Madushan, Shamika Tissera, Sajee Rodrigo from Level four represented the victorious Team Zyndicate. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the winners and wish them an incredibly bright future filled with extraordinary accomplishments!

ANNOUNCING THE 2ND RUNNERUP OF JUNIOR HACK 5.0 – TEAM CHIPMUNKS

With great cheer, we would like to announce the winners from the Department of Industrial Management who secured the 2nd runner-up title at Junior Hack 5.0, organized by the Software Engineering Students’ Association of University of Kelaniya. Chamil Bandara, Thamindu Premarathna, Vishath Amarasinghe and Kasun Dananjaya from Level two represented the victorious Team Chipmunks. The Department of Industrial Management is truly proud of your achievement and would like to wish you the best for a future filled with even greater success and accomplishments!

MoU SIGNED BETWEEN Orel IT AND THE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT, UNIVERSITY OF KELANIYA

With immense pleasure, we announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Orel IT and the Department of Industrial Management on the 13th of July 2023 at the Vice Chancellor’s office in University of Kelaniya. The event was attended by esteemed individuals including Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva - the Vice Chancellor of University of Kelaniya, Mr. Gayan David - Chief Business Officer of Orel IT, and Professor Janaka Wijayanayake - Head of the Department of Industrial Management, along with representatives from both Orel IT and DIM.

The objective of this MoU is to select undergraduates from the Department of Industrial Management, Faculty of Science, who are currently in their third and fourth years of the UGC approved BSc (Hons) Management and Information Technology and BSc (Hons) Information Technology degree programs, through a competitive selection process, and provide them with a unique opportunity to participate in the Orel IT Scholarship Program as trainees, for a predetermined period. The program seeks to provide employment opportunities to fresh undergraduates and foster the development of relevant skills within the undergraduate community of the DIM.

In summary, the collaboration intends to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering practical exposure and real-world experience to undergraduates.
