In recognition of the strength of the BSc in MIT degree program in integrating management with technology and providing the top corporates with a much sought after talent pool, a number of leading private sector organizations have endowed awards to recognize outstanding achievements of graduates following the Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Technology degree program.
The awards are:
MAS Award - Most Outstanding Student
MAS Holdings award for the Most Outstanding Student recognizes the need for students to develop themselves on four broad areas. They are academic, extracurricular, soft skills and community services. The award is open for all final year students in the Special and General degree programs and applicants will be evaluated by a panel comprising of representatives from both the faculty and Senior Executives from MAS Holdings.
The Outstanding Student will be awarded Rs. 100,000/=, along with a career offer at MAS Holdings Pvt. Ltd and an achievement certificate. The name of the recipient will be displayed on the Wall of Fame within the department premises.
Unilever Sri Lanka Award - Outstanding Academic Achievement (Special Degree)
Unilever Sri Lanka award recognizes academic excellence at the BSc in MIT degree program at the Special Degree level. The award is for the student graduating with a special degree in Management and Information Technology with the highest academic achievement. The minimum eligibility for award will be a First Class as designated by the University.
The recipient will receive a Commemorative Gold Medal, a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and an achievement certificate. The name of the recipient will be displayed on the Wall of Fame within the department premises.
IFS Award - Outstanding Academic Achievement (General Degree)
IFS Sri Lanka award recognizes academic excellence at the BSc in MIT degree program at the General Degree level. The award is for the student graduating with a general degree in Management and Information Technology with the highest academic achievement. The minimum eligibility for award will be a First Class as designated by the University.
The recipient will receive a cash prize of Rs. 40,000 and an achievement certificate. The name of the recipient will be displayed on the Wall of Fame within the department premises.
