Dr. N. V. Chandrasekara was awarded SLASS GRC Postgraduate Research Award 2018 Section E1 (merit) by Sri Lanka Association for Advancement of Science (SLASS) on 2nd December 2018 at BMICH. The chief guests of the ceremony were the Honorable President Maithreepala Sirisena, Minister Sarath Amunugama and Dr. Sarath Gunapala. In the selection procedure, winners were selected based on the applicant’s publications on his/her postgraduate research and more credit was given for publications in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Chandrasekara's PhD research was supervised by Dr. Chandima Tilakaratne of University of Colombo and Dr. Musa Mammadov of Federation University Australia.
