A soft skills Development program was conducted by the Career Guidance Unit for the Level 3 Undergraduate students, following Botany as a subject, on April 8th, 2019. Mrs. Kanchana Geethani, Human Resource Development Officer at Divisional Secretariat, Kelaniya was the resource person of the event. The students were able to have an interactive session on soft skills sought by employers, attitudes to develop, personality development including improving leadership and communication skills.
Long service and vice chancellor’s awards 2021 was gracefully held at Sri Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya on 03rd January 2022. Vice Chancellor, Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva and deans of the faculties were present at the event to appreciate the long service of the academic and nonacademic staff members and the researchers who contributed towards the research and development of the university.
Several members of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology received vice chancellor’s awards for their research excellence during the event.
