The code consists of 5 digits in the form: x/x/xxx

The first digit is reserved for the type of publication:

1: Books
2: Journals
3: Magazines
4: Handbooks, Manuals, User Guides
5: Catalogs

The second digit is reserved for the main field of concern:

1.: Mathematics
2: Computer Science
3: Management
4: Physics
5: Biology 6: Miscelleneous

And the last three digits are unique to the book and can be arbitrary (that is each copy has the same ID):

For example, a code 1/2/010 would denote a Computer Science book. The main propose of using this coding was to store the material in an easy manner and to retrieve them efficiently
