We are delighted to announce that Abishaa Rubanathan, a fourth-year student of the Department of Industrial Management in University of Kelaniya, has been nominated to participate in Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards in the tertiary (undergraduate) category. The awards ceremony has taken place on the 8th of December 2023 in Hong Kong. Abishaa’s project, 'Cubic – An IoT based Mobile Platform for School Transportation Services,' is a commendable innovation aimed at enhancing the safety of school children. 

Organized by APICTA, this event is an international awards program that serves as a global platform for individuals and IT companies to showcase their innovations and creativity. Participation in this program has been exclusively reserved for recipients of national ICT awards. APITCA 2023 has featured over 500 nominees from 16 countries, including Australia, China, Singapore and Thailand.
