The second day of the orientation program for the 𝗕.𝗦𝗰 (𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘀) 𝗜𝗧/𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 new batch students at the Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka was nothing short of extraordinary! The day was highlighted by an 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 organized in collaboration with The 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝘃𝘁 𝗟𝘁𝗱, designed to inspire, challenge, and prepare students for their journey ahead. Guided by the experts, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗯𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮 (𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿/𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗚. 𝗨𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗪𝗶𝗷𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗲, 𝗠. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮, 𝗥. 𝗟. 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥. 𝗟. 𝗡𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮, the program introduced students to skills essential for success, including 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
Students engaged in multiple activities such as 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀, 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲–𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁–𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀, all designed to develop conflict resolution, trust and empathy and stress management
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀. By integrating co-curricular activities such as outbound training programs, the department ensures that students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the professional world.
