A stakeholder workshop to revise the curricula of BSc in Environmental Conservation and Management, BSc honours in Environmental Conservation and Management and BSc honours in Zoology degree programmes was held on 4th September 2019 at Hotel Clarion, Kiribathgoda.
The Vice chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe was the chief guest in the inauguration ceremony. The occasion was graced by Prof. (Mrs) B.M. Jayawardena, Dean, Faculty of Science, Heads of the Departments of the Faculty of Science and the members of the academic staff.
Many eminent scientists representing other universities and national institutions, reputed personnel who are serving in the fields of zoology and environment management related areas in the private sector, past and present students participated as the invited stakeholders. The inauguration of the event was followed by group discussion sessions and presentations which provided invaluable comments and suggestions towards the revision of the curricula of the degree programmes offered by the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management,
