Introduction
Offered by Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Faculty of Science together with Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya. Environmental Management postgraduate programs focus on developing the skills and practical exposure that are compatible to find innovative environmental solutions to effectively address the current environmental issues faced by the society as well as conserve and manage natural resources appreciating sustainable development measures nationally and globally.
Objectives
To enhance the professional capabilities of variety of disciplines especially middle and strategic level managers in industrial, corporate and government sectors, by having in-depth knowledge and high-level skills in environmental management relevant to the professional practice and research activities.
To promote research in the field of environmental management.
Course fee:
Course fee can be paid in three installments for MSc (Env Mgt)
Initial; 102,000 LKR, Second installment (End of the 1st semester); 80,000 LKR, Third installment (End of the second semester); 50,000 LKR
Entry Qualifications:
Applicants should be graduates of a recognized university with one of the following qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 30 earned credits related to discipline of environment in the degree programme
OR
- Any other Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 30 earned credits related to environment discipline in the degree programme and at least one-year work experience in the environment related sector
OR
- Any other Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University and at least four years work experience in the environment related sector
OR
- Postgraduate or professional qualification with work experience in the environment related sector accepted by the University of Kelaniya.
