Remote Controller for Ceiling Fans

This invention can be used as a remotely controllable fan regulator. The uniqueness of this regulator is that it can be used to replace the existing fan regulators without changing the house wiring. This requires only the live wire to operate and using a mobile phone app, the speed of a ceiling fan can be controlled. This invention is protected under SL patent no. 18447. Technology transferred to the Orel Corporation (Pvt) Ltd, one of the largest electronic and electrical manufacturers in Sri Lanka through a licensee agreement. EDIC helped the OREL to conduct several rounds of PCB designing and product testing in accordance with the industry guidelines and to iron out product commercialization teething issues. The company is aiming to launch this product with their newly introduced high-end product range named “Odessa” since this product will surely provide the customers a new experience when operating their Ceiling Fans.
