Participated in AUTM 2023 annual meeting in Texas, USA to commercialize patented technologies

New License for a UoK Technology to Improve and Expand Telecommunication Infrastructure
The University of Kelaniya made yet another successful stride in research commercialization by signing a technology licensing agreement with Infosoft Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd on Thursday, March 09, 2023. The commercialized technology is developed to address the technical problems identified in the data communication in existing wired industry automation and IIoT systems.
Introducing A remotely controlled ceiling fan regulator as a new invention to the market
The patented technology of the invented remotely controlled ceiling fan regulator was transferred to OREL Corporation by signing a technology licensing agreement on 29th October 2019. The OREL Corporation worked as the technical partner for this commercialization to develop a commercially-ready product and take it to the commercial market
An MoU signed between the Bank of Ceylon and the University of Kelaniya
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Bank of Ceylon and the University of Kelaniya on the 9th of March 2023. The collaborative partnership was thus initiated to promote the advancement mutually and more effectively of one of the banking applications of the patent-granted technology developed for addressable & wireless data communication without depending on Internet connectivity.
MoU Signed Between University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka Telecom
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka Telecom on 07th January 2021. The partnership allows synergetic research collaborations on industrial projects and leads to sharing of expertise, experiences, and knowledge toward the best outcome. Product Launch of Remotely controlled ceiling fan regulator
The product launch of the “Remotely Controllable Fan Regulator” will be taking place in April 2023. The commercial-ready product was developed by Orel corporation using patented technology invented by EDIC, University of Kelaniya.
