Title : Special Topics in Mathematics
Learning Outcomes:
After the completion of this course unit, the student will be able to:
1. describe the concepts and tools of the selected modern topics in Pure/Applied Mathematics
2. demonstrate applications of concepts associated with the topics studied, as discussed by the course convener
3. apply theoretical/practical knowledge obtained for solving real-life applications
4. conduct seminar presentations on the selected special topic.
Course Contents:
This course is designed to include specialized modern topics in Mathematics and content therein.
Method of Teaching and Learning: A combination of lectures, practical sessions, seminars, tutorials, and group activities.
Assessment strategy: End of semester examination, presentations, assignments, and group activities.
Note: Assessment strategy will be subjective to the selected topic and its content.
