The Department of Mathematics, University of Kelaniya, had the amazing opportunity to visit Gateway International College in Dehiwala, where we got to inspire the next generation of math enthusiasts!

The college is gearing up for an exciting Photography Exhibition for Grade 7, 8, and 9 students, all centered around the theme "Mathematics in Nature." 

To kick things off, Dr. Kissani Perera, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, delivered an engaging session on how math and nature are beautifully intertwined. She shared some mind-blowing examples of how math is all around us in the natural world! 

The session was a huge success, and we’re so excited to have been a part of this creative initiative! We can’t wait to see the students’ photography exhibition and how they capture the stunning mathematics in nature through their lenses!
