CloudCon’24 was a cloud computing conference organized by the AWS Cloud Club - University of Kelaniya (UOK) which was successfully held on November 29, 2024 at the A8 Auditorium venue, Faculty of Science from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The cloud conference featured the following distinguished speakers,

• Mr. Udara Wijerathna - VP of Engineering & Country Head (SL) at Velaris
• Mr. Manoj Fernando - Solution Architect, Digital Platform at Air Canada
• Mr. Thilina Viraj - Technical Lead at Sysco Labs
• Mr. Lahiru Hewawasam - Manager, Cybersecurity at Fortude
• Ms. Thamodi Wickramasinghe - Associate Tech Lead at Fortude

The session delved into topics such as Cloud Computing, Serverless Computing, AI, and Machine Learning (ML). Finally, the session was concluded with a Kahoot quiz for the attendees which saw the top three receive prizes from the speakers. The AWS User Groups Colombo and the Electronics and Computer Science Club of Kelaniya University served as the partners for this event.
