Prof. Terrence Perera

Assistant Dean of Academic Resources, Sheffield Hallam University, UK

Terrence is a well known consultant and practitioner in the field of systems modelling and simulation. He assists companies to deploy simulation models and develops user-friendly customised models to address specific issues. Companies from manufacturing, food and healthcare sectors have sought his expertise to develop simulation based solutions.  His clients include BAE SYSTEMS, Caterpillar, Bosch and Sweden Post, Anglo Beef Processors (ABP), Fosters Bakery and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

Terrence is also an active researcher in this area. He has received funding UK Research Councils and industry to investigate both fundamental and application related issues of simulation. An example of this is the work with BAE SYSTEMS to develop a framework for deploying simulation technologies across the design and manufacture of airframes.
